Blast from the Past

So I was walking back from the PCAC to my dorm, and during that walk I came upon what appeared to be a Massachusetts driver's license lying in the middle of the street. So I picked it up, and I see Reed Gompert's picture staring back at me.

I had one class with Reed through all my educational years. It was 6th grade reading with Mrs. Hughes back in the days of Martinson Middle School. I was never really good friends with Reed. I think he dropped out of school our sophomore year. But still, I wondered how he was doing. I wondered if he remembered Mrs. Hughes...if he would remember who I was. Anyone on the Marshvegas crew remember Reed? He apparently moved to Nahant Massachusetts...I have never heard of that town.

Now to add a little more unusualness to this story, when I was working back at Tedeschi's during winter break, there was a lost license that we had behind the counter. It was Reed Gomperts.

It just goes to show you that it really is a small world after all. I went to school with Reed and now I've stumbled upon his license not once but twice. Once in my hometown, and once 50 feet away from my dorm.

All in all, it's been a really weird day. What is the probability that I would come across Reed Gompert's license twice?
