Today I ordered my new cell phone.
I have a love/hate relationship with cell phones, but seeing that I need to be on call 24/7 for my new elderly employers (91 and 85 years old, respectively), I pretty much have to have one. The interesting thing is, I found a website where phones were rated by RF energy levels (the stuff that may or may not be bad for you). Cell phones are all rated by the FCC. So if you want, you can
check it out.
I picked a phone with a fairly good rating, which was also free with my new plan. And the company (US Cellular, the only reliable carrier in Maine) is sending me my new phone in the mail in the next few days.
Anxiety is still my middle name, and my parents decided not to go away this weekend. So I'm stuck here, feeling shaky and missing Jesse and wishing that we were going out tonight to a really great punk rock show, or really just doing anything together.
The temptation is there, but I'm not going to complain. I know that I am extremely lucky. And having gone through all the crap that I have, I can actually appreciate the gifts life has recently handed me.
And I have two new shawls from my friend
Ashley and my crocheted mittens are starting to look like actual mittens instead of just little circles of random stitching! (By the way,
jwgh and I had quite a laugh at the angst-ridden waitress at Cafe Java last night, are we all tipping them well? I highly doubt our knitting group is that demanding...)
Now, I must start packing! *sob*
;) Hey,
