Universities! *GASP*
As the result of my parents' sudden frenzy of checking out Universities in person, we went to Kingston today to see Queen's U.
We kind of got lost at first since daddy didn't quite do his hmwk right and mostly because the website's directions sucked :P. We almost drove all the way out of Kingston, but caught the mistake just soon enough to turn back. It turned out we kind of just missed the building on the way "out of town" -____-'
Overall, Queen's isn't as big as I thought. Walking across the campus possibly takes less than 10 minutes. The res looks good, but I didn't get to go in the rooms (too bad). The School of Business looks so pretty <3. Just visiting it makes me want to go to Bcom soooo much. But since it was Sunday, all the other buildings were closed XP.
My dad was wondering why the entrance marks are so high for Queen's.... according to the visiter center guy (who's in engineering right now) that Queens just have a good rep and good profs. Hmn.... but it is really hard to get in...
Kingston's small T__T we didn't see much of a "downtown". The only shopping center (Loblaws o_O) was about 10min car ride from the University. It'd be pretty boring to live there for 4 years...
Queen's is definitely an option now. Next weekend will be visiting Toronto and Waterloo, shopping and visiting friends included, thus creating a super busy weekend of not a lot of hmwk doing. *sigh*
hmn... saw him online and actually sent him a confession message... except he doesn't go online often and I don't know if he saw the message before he left. So far, no reply. I actually don't think he would reply.
