this morning i had a weird dream:
i woke up in the afternoon and i had slept the day away without calling into work(again) and was freaking out that i would be in trouble but instead i just ignored it. my parents needed to go to JCPenney for some reason and so we went. in the dream, my work was connected to a JCP store, inside a mall, so when we went i was constantly looking over my shoulder trying to dodge people that i work with, mainly my manager. as we were walking through JCP we ran into my Grandmother. i was quite surprised to see her but she didn't act like it was a big deal, and i think that she had an asian servant with her. after this, i decided that it was too risky for us to stay any longer so i started carrying our stuff to the car. my arms were full of blankets and pillows and i was having trouble carrying it all. as i was walking to my car a man came up to me(a black man that looked like he was homeless) and said something to me. i could see he was carrying a gun but he was trying to hide it from me. i said, 'i cant hear anything you are saying' in a kind of rude manner and then my phone woke me up.
this morning i started off to work early and stopped at the super target on the way to work and they had a two pack of playing cards for a buck. i got it and spent the day at work playing solitaire. it was enjoyable.
so i finally bought a polaroid camera. i took it to a couple of concerts recently. one was when i saw
Eat Avery's Bones at RGRS. i didn't have a very good angle for them, but they are still awesome:
the next nite, i saw
Record Hop at SHQ. my god, their now former drummer is so freakin awesome. that place is so cool. i would highly recommend everyone going there, but make sure to bring ear plugs cuz my ears were seriously ringing for days.
i also saw a band called
How Hard. they were very impressive:
i also went to see Midlake the other day at the Granada. it was nice to see them again, but it was weird cuz they seemed very rockstarish now. not in a bad way of course, just different then their former shy selves. i couldnt take any pictures at that one. before the show, i went to eat dinner with Nancy and Justin Clark at Gloria's, across the street from granada. it was good, but a lot of food for one person. nancy and justin shared their's, but i didnt have anyone to share mine with. while we were there, these women were passing out free Jose Cuervo key chain for a new kind of tequila they are putting out. it looks like a little bottle but it lights up, only mine didn't work. then they came around again passing free shots of the tequila. after having a discussion about how to correctly drink a shot of tequila, we salted our wrists, downed and bit on limes. now that i know how to do it, i actually enjoyed the tequila. we got to keep the shot glasses too. it was a good nite.
