Holy crap... I don't even know where to start. This seriously was the best summer that I have ever had in my entire life... seriously... Anyway, lets go through summer in review.
Started fairly dull... I could not find a job to save my life (until the later mentioned job), wasn't really doing anything, was just kind of hanging out and doing a ton of research for Electra, which was awesome and stuff... but yeah... Then the first activity of the summer came in early June and it was assistant directing/stage managing an incoming freshman (in high school) production of Annie. It was super fun and super cute (judge away), not high art or anything like that, but it was fun. Then I began my real job of the summer. I answered phones at Pius XI High School, seriously the most fun real job that I have ever had. It was awesome, really easy, paid well, really fun, hung out with teachers that I used to have during work who would come in. Fantastic. Then during that job (I got off for 4 weeks) I started the Summer Theater Lab. Taught a basic reading and understanding Shakespeare class that people actually liked, which was mildly shocking, and directed Rabbit Hole by David Lindsay Abaire, which was a terrifying experience but turned out really well. It was a huge stretch for everyone involved, probably mostly a stretch for me to pull off, but it went swimmingly. Then after that was all over the receptI sionist job started back up again. THEN!!! (yes there is more) Then I started working on some electronic work, I built a couple of effects pedals for myself, and just learned a lot about electronics and all that (do you know what an LFO is, other than the band of course, I think not!!!) And in all of this I hung out with one of my best friends out here basically a few times a week, which was amazing. I saw two amazing concerts, which were M. Ward with the Watson Twins, and the second was A.A. Bondy and Bon Iver. They were both seriously some of the best concert experiences of my life, well actually just experiences of my life. I think that might be about it for the summer.
I am extremely pumped to start school, basically in a few days, my dad, Aaron and I leave tomorrow super early and move in on Monday. I will see all of you Catawba peoples then, or whatever...
