OMG this song came on while we were driving today and I was having all kinda of flashbacks. I think my Dad bought this album on cassette (CASSETTE OMG) and I remember it was a *white* cassette and I used to listen to the whole album all the time and dance around ( Read more... )

SAME - I resisted CDs forever, mostly because my car had a cassette player LOL!

A couple months ago it was looking like cassettes were going to be the next retro thing. It seemed like bands were releasing singles on them and selling them at shows and whatnot. But I just realized this has died down. I guess releasing something that no one can play didn't make any sense. Plus cassettes just flat out suck. All that fast forwarding and rewinding to find a song-- why did it take me forever to switch to CDs??

Yeah, they did not think that one through. Most of us still have CD players lying around and mp3 singles are cheaper...wonder how much it would cost to have a cassette made now?? Plus, wouldn't it make your band sound so...analog?

Because no one wants to buy their collection AGAIN! At least it's easy to transfer CDs to MP3s...Cassette to CD was not possible.
