Now a clip from 'Grosse Pointe Blank' featuring Jeremy Piven in the role of the "The Firefly Fandom" and John Cusack as everyone who ever worked on the show ever:

Seriously, I cannot believe it's been ten years since that little show aired...I still remember turning on my TV to watch the first episode and seeing "The Train Job" and thinking "WTF DID I MISS THE FIRST EPISODE???"...ah FOX...you bastards.

But we've all heard the complaining about FOX, so I'm not going to do that. Instead, I'm just gonna talk about how awesome this show is in an easy to read bullet list:

* ads in the TV Guide that said "The toughest guy on the ship is named Jayne"...

* Zoe and Wash, one of the few happily married couples on TV EVAR! Not only happily married, but two people you can respect. I actually wrote this in to a college paper at some point...luckily, my professor was also a Whedon fan.

* Kaylee and her adorable self. Seriously, she was such an amazing and earthy character. While I wanted to be as badass as Zoe, I know I am Kaylee, and I'm find with that. (I still love/laugh that Joss made Jewel gain wait for the role so she would be the size of a normal person...and now that I've met her, I can see why! She is TINY!) <3

* The classic Whedon Co. mix of humor and seriousness in every episode. And a cast that understood all of the nuances of his dialogue.

* Introduction to CHRISTINA HENDRICKS! This show has some of the most gorgeous women in the 'verse, but it's kinda cool that this was one of her first big roles.

* River dancing in her big clunky boots. :)

* 'Objects in Space' is my favorite episode of all time. It reminds me of BtVS episode 'Restless', that mix of dreams and reality; conscious and subconscious.

* How much the cast and crew loved the show. I got to see Jewel, Sean, and Adam talk at Dragon*Con this past year and you can still tell they just adore this show. They miss it so much and they appreciate the fans who still love it as much as they do.

I still remember when we were all hoping Serenity would make enough money for a sequel and I was telling EVERYONE to watch Firefly, one of my buddies in the Star Wars club I go to was ready to strangle me if i mentioned the show again LOL! But I think I got everyone in that group to watch it.

I'm going to watch the 'Browncoats Unite' 10th Anniversary Special as soon as I buy a box of tissues because...yeah, I have a feeling there may be tears.
