Having a wonderful time in New Hampshire right now, visiting Amy & Joe. Today we went on a mission to get some supplies for my Dragon*Con craft project - a slayer scythe. So far, I'm pretty proud of how it all went considering I'm totally winging this prop making project.
She gave me a tube that was used for the fabric she bought for curtains, should work fine for the lower half of the scythe. I think this should be light enough for me to carry around for two days. :)
Also bought orange fabric dye but I didn't bring my pants with me so I will dye those when I get home.
Had the brilliant idea to steal faeriesfolly's broken Kindle and modify it into a Hitchhiker's Guide for my Fem!Arthur outfit. Still trying to think of the best way to do a babel fish in my ear. maybedeadcat let me try on his bathrobe and it fit perfectly. I'll be very green but as long as I look confused, I'm sure I'll be recognizable as Arthur (though I was thinking of carrying around a cup that said "No Tea!" on it)
Both of us have been bitching about our hair the past two days, we might go to a salon in the morning and get some professional help.
Can't believe it's already August!!! Less than a month until Dragon*Con!!! So excited!!!
