tv thoughts: Legend of the Seeker - Perdition

I FINALLY watched the newest LotS episode yesterday. I LOVED IT! I'm not really sure why, but it was just an EPIC tale, everyone had something going on. Yes, this season is back on track for me.

I knew Sister Nicci was coming back because I had seen a clip from 'Attack of the Show' but I didn't realize she was going to be back this week. It was fine by me because she annoyed me and I wanted to get that story line over with. I thought she was going to be the new Denna, popping up and pestering Richard. I guess she still could be if the Keeper makes her into a Baneling or something. I mean, what's the point of being a Sister of the Dark if you don't get some life after death points with the man downstairs?

(also, I'm still bothered by the whole keeper-of-the-underworld-is-evil thing. But that's just how these fantastical stories go I guess).

I'm sorry but I sort of loved Cara/Leo. You know I'm not one to ship too hard, but they were adorable together with their little fliratations. But as soon as she jumped his bones, I KNEW he wasn't going to last much longer. I had hopes of "Zedd has Two Seekers" episodes, with some awkward "I'm the Seeker" moments where they would both say it at the exact same time and it would be adorable...but no dice. Poor Leo got toasted and not in a good way. But it was an EPIC death. I mean, he threw himself across the screen to protect Kahlan! Yeah, in retrospect, he could have blocked it with his sword, but he didn't have those skillz yet! He was still a n00b Seeker, but that didn't stop him from sacrificing himself to save the Mother Confessor. And for that, we thank him.

Aw, poor Cara is going to be sooooooo Emo next week, I can sense it (one of the things I like about watching it on Netflix is that there is no preview for next week's episode so I don't get spoiled.

I noticed how Richard's worst nightmare included Kahlan back in the white dress with no eyeliner? Yeah, he's diggin' the new outfit, clearly. haha.

Is it just me or is one of the biggest fantasy genre cliches the ol' "no one has ever [insert thing hero is about to do] in thousands of years" and then the hero pulls it off in 45 minutes. Not that I'm complaining, it adds to the tension and all, but still...

Happy that the gang is back together for next week though.
