tv thoughts: BSG

I think that Someone to Watch Over Me is going on my list of favorite episodes of BSG. First, it was Kara-centric, always a plus for me. Also, it managed to catch me off guard in several ways. And you gotta love the soundtrack.

zomg I don't know how they are still going to wrap this all up now that it's getting so down to the wire! Unless it really is going to be "rocks fall, everyone dies". o_O; It certainly isn't looking good for Galactica herself.

Dammit, I fell for Boomer too. Bad Boomer! >_< Poor Chief. And I think everyone is in agreement that what was in the sippy-cup was drugged. I totally called Hera's drawing as music notes too. =P Or at least on my second guess. My knee-jerk when Kara asked her if they were stars, I jokingly said "yeah, it's the star-chart leading to a habitable planet! lolz" until she handed it to her and I saw it better. I was like huh, that looks like... sheet music?

I was totally leaning towards the "Kara's dad was actually a Daniel model" too. I thought it was a crazy theory until I looked on-line and saw a bunch of other people saying it also. It would explain his disappearence. And a lot of the freaky shit Kara does. Of course that would mean *she* was the first hybrid. Hhmmm... Also, so glad she started playing her dad's tape for Sam! I thought that as soon as Helo gave it to her! Yay! =)

I was very surprised back when they did the final five vote to stay or go that Chief said go. I figured it would be a case of Tory and Ellen wanting to go and Saul and Tyrol wanting to stay, with coma-boy Sam being the deciding vote that couldn't vote so they'd be deadlocked. But I guess since they already *knew* which way Sam would vote, someone else had to say go, or there would be no tension. meh It's just that at that point, he was still pretty loyal to Adama and Galactica (still calling Adama "sir" so cute) and then being reinstated as Chief. But I could see him wanting to cut and run *after* they basically signed Boomer's death sentence when he still thought she'd changed. Now, I don't know what is going to happen there. I'm sure they're going to figure out he's the one that switched her with the other Eight. =( That is not going to go well for him at all.

Oh also, was it just me, or did they sneak Laura's death into the middle of all that? They were heavy foreshadowing it in bits all through the episode, and the last shot you see her hand go limp. ;_; Okay, maybe not dead, but I think she'll at best be in a hospital bed again if not. =(
