Fraggle Rock rewatch

Aug 03, 2019 23:39

I FINALLY sat down and started rewatching Fraggle Rock this morning. I asked for the 35th Anniversary blu-rays for Christmas but just haven't made the time. Since I'm all caught up on Queer Eye and Dark, I needed a breakfast show for my quiet mornings. I figured I would document the experience a bit to see how this show holds up so many years later ( Read more... )

I actually noticed that Amazon Video has Fraggle Rock now and I've been debating rewatching. I love it, but The Muppets were always my favourite.

I LOVE THE MUPPETS!

Unfortunately, I have heard we will never get a full release of those shows because of the music copyrights. And it's not the 70s stars asking for the money, it's stuff like the estate of Irving Berlin. :( I have my DVDs of the first few season that they put out and I had VHS tapes when I was a kid, but I think the only way to get them all now would be a bootleg.

But I adore the Fraggles for their very positive, hippie messages of peace and love.

I have the first three seasons of The Muppets on DVD. I know the later seasons are harder to get, but I picked those ones up in HMV years ago!

Yeah, those 3 were the only "official" releases.

I was kinda hoping that now that Disney owns them and they pretty much own everything else we would get a decent release of everything soon.

I think I have the Star Wars episode committed to memory at this point hehe.

Ah, I didn't realise they were the only actual releases. I do hope we get full release now Disney own everything in the whole world at this point XD

Oh, my favourite episodes are the ones with Vincent Price and Alice Cooper XD There's an episode in season 1 where Rowlf sings Cottleston Pie and it is one of the single scenes of any show that fills me to brim with joy.
