I felt like the bajillion tweets, blog posts, articles, reddit threads, and other social media posts got the point across pretty well that many many people were not happy.

A petition is a demand for action, it is about gathering signatures to make something happen, so yeah, I don't think it was the best platform for such expression. I mean, also, I think of petitions being used for important things, like changing the way the government works or a law or a court decision etc. But that's another rant.

Is this the petition? Because, yeah, it just says to demand a re-write.

Nothing deep going on there. I found an interview with the petition creator a few clicks further where he backpedals and says the whole "well of course they can't remake it" but it doesn't say anything beyond a sentence in the petition itself. It just comes off as entitlement of MY SHOW and make it MY WAY.

And now he has all this attention so, I dunno, he should redirect it to something more positive. I found a few fans using the conversation to fundraise for a charity in Emilia Clarke's name. That I can support.
