Sounds like such a fun, eventful trip.

I know you're from Maryland and live there, and I've probably asked this before, but are you from Glen Burnie? Just asking because that's where my fiance grew up/went to high school.

LOL at the beach punking you and drenching your feet.

"Birdemic." LMAO

Wow, that Winchester house backstory is definitely weird/creepy.

I discovered the olive oil tasting a couple of months ago when I was visiting a potential wedding location. I didn't realize there were so many different flavors either. My MIL bought one, though I can't remember what the flavor is.

You're a lightweight like me. :)

Wow, you're so lucky you weren't in Napa when that earthquake. Good dog for trying to protect you guys. :)

I had a friend on my FL that recently visited a redwood area, not sure if it was in SF. They look so amazing.

The pictures look great, especially of the Tea Garden and the Redwood park.

We moved to Maryland when I was 8 years old, grew up in Laurel, which isn't very far from Glen Burnie. Same county and all that. Same library system ;-)

BUT my family is not from Maryland, we ended up here because of the Navy, so we don't have any of the Maryland culture, if that makes sense (we don't like crabs, we never went to ocean city...that stuff)

The Redwoods are all around the bay around, north and south of it. I think they do go into Oregon too, but we couldn't tell if they actually had a park devoted to them.

That makes sense. I'm still trying to acquire a taste fro crab. It tastes good, but damn it's a lot of work. :)

Too much work for me! I like lobster - crack it open and a whole tail full of meat falls into the butter! I find the crab to be too...oceany? I dunno. Plus, I am not an old bay fan at all.

LOL those would be fighting words with Mike. :) He looooves old bay! I don't think I'd even heard of it until I met him. I had it and it's alright. Nothing to write home about. He says in Maryland they put it on everything.
