My friend
Bradley D asked me to create a cover art for his first mixtape release and I was more than happy to help out. It's probably the biggest thing I've made with the
ITaP-SAC banner at a close tie if it ever gets implemented.
It was a difficult project at first. The first version (after the cut) was way too simple and minimal for the hipster culture of mixtapes and DJs. So after some nice suggestions from Bradley D and my friend Michael, I decided to approach it from a whole new perspective. I threw out all inhibition and just went crazy to create the final "ADD" image.
What fun it turned out to be and how free I felt to have jumped out of my comfort zone at 923501234 mph. And when I showed him my final revision, I got a nice warm and fuzzy feeling inside to hear that he like it and was proud to send it out to promoters/blogs.
Bradley D: ya that is fucking awesome
Bradley D: hahaha
Bradley D: i luvs the turtle!!!
Bradley D: and the dude in that pic looks like jay from rage mountain hahaha amzingl
Bradley D: amazingly*
Bradley D: can i save as + send? :D
Bradley D: i loveeeee
Bradley D: dude its so good
The happy ending doesn't end there. As promised, he sent out the art to a bunch of music culture blogs so now my art is all over teh Interwebz! See:
