Grittys, n Drunk Again
Ive been gettin drunk an awful lot lately, but, its fun! N my jobs havnt really started up yet...i just worked one day so far, last Thursday...so I can stay up late all I want for now, though thats almost over...starting Tuesday at my other, new job.
Ne ways...I get a call from my friend Chrissy, who lives in the old port...and she invites me over, so i figure hey its Friday nite theres nothing to do so Im just gonna head over, not thinking ne thing about going out to a bar n goin to the club later that nite. BUT, come to find out she wants to go n her roomate wants to go so heck i'll go too! It turned out to be a really fun nite, even though i felt i didnt look my best becos i wasnt dressed to go to ne bars or clubs n my hair was just all wrong. We went to Gritty's, Chrissy borrowed my ID to get in n her roomate Steph came backout to give it to me so I could get in...we got quite the little schemin system goin on, lol. Ushie borrowed her sisters ID again too. Ne ways, so i had something called brown beer, it was the best tasting beer ive ever had , was soo good! Almost creamy in texture, real smooth. After we were there for a while we went outside, Chrissy n her roomate n cousin headed out to get some pizza and back to their place.
Ushie n i went to the Industry, n to my suprise my old friend Alica C and her friend was there and they were soooo much fun! She is a guy magnet I donno how she does it. So i ended up dancing with this guy from Peru, he was really nice n really cute, his name was Jose (Hosay). Im really glad he came up to dance with me becos this really discusting guy wouldnt leave me alone n Ushie was busy dancin with someone else so she couldnt help me out! Thankfully I think Jose saw my desparation n he came up to me, to make that nasty guy disappear, that was nice of him.
So I forgot to tell about my first day on the job as a maid! Well, i get there, to the Long Lake Inn...and i notice on the side of the Inn there was a sign that said something like 'world famous housecleaning' or something like that...and i was like oooooh shit, Im in for it now, whut did i get myself into??! So I go in, and meet up with Keith, one of my bosses, n he sets me up to work with a maid thats been there for years, she is an older woman...and very very picky and particular, and very set in her ways of cleaning and doing things. There are 16 rooms at this bed and breakfast, and it takes about 45 minutes to clean a 'turn-over', and about 25 minutes to clean a 'tidy'.
These rooms are the most beautifully decorated rooms Ive ever seen, antique beds and furniture and decorations, and lavish quilts and thick lace curtines...everything was emaculate...not a spec of dust or dirt, they are all spotless and everything is perfectly set in its place...even the lace doyles with the chocolates have to be placed just so. Not to mention the bathroom has to be even more emaculatly cleaned. After all of the cleaning was finsished I was astonished at the detail i have to put into each room I am assigned and Im thinkin to myself, why didnt i pick to work at a DoubleTree or something!!! Soon after i thought that, the lady that Im working with tells me that this Inn is among the Top 10 bed and breakfast Inns in the country! She also mentioned that the rooms are a little over $200 per nite. I realized then that high expectations are going to be placed on my shoulders to make these rooms look amazing. I think Im in for a loooooong loooooong summer, lol.
