maybe it just happens to be the caliber of italians versus brits i meet,
but italians just seem friendlier.

The Italian commander had a farewell party and invited Seli and I. We met up with Gianluca's friend Max and just had a grand olde tyme. The karaoke bar stole my heart and we sang "Born in the USA" followed by an Italian song that goes:

ciao bella cristina--tante grazie for your posts--i love them.
si, italianos have a 'spirit' of life hands down--not always in their pants or their noses--there's probably some.
all the experiences, encounters and emotions that cross your path are memories you will forever cherish. i'm so privileged to follow along.
damn the brits (not really) and keep being YOU. it's hard to define life, reasons and much less ourselves.

I wish they gave us a heads up when they do controlled detonations here. I always jump when it goes off.

Sounds like things are harsh over there, god knows I am gonna know soon enough.... Oh, yeah, sorry I don't remember how I ran across your journal but I did and read through it and felt like I should say something, hope things are going well for you over on the other side of the world, and hell who knows, if your over there again later this year then I will probably run into ya, who knows *shrugs*
