Music the magnificent.

Often I think of the beautiful town
That is seated by the sea;
Often in thought go up and down
The pleasant streets of that dear old town,
And my youth comes back to me.
-Longfellow

He was speaking of Portland Maine, but I think I made my point.

I have come to the end of another semester, and for the second time I am not looking at a departure to LI.  I am hoping I get to go home for a few days before my summer classes start.  It seems highly unlikely, but I'm still hoping.  It has been almost a year since I have been in NY.
The longer I am away the more I want to go back there for good.  Graduation is still two years away, but it is getting closer and closer...and that means a huge decision is drawing near too.  This could possibly be the biggest decision I make in my life.  It will decide my life.
Or someone else could decide for me- highly likely.
I hope life chooses well on my behalf.

The past few weeks I have been having a hard time trusting people.  Not just certain people; pretty much everyone.  Its like everyone is suspected of having alterior motives.  I hate when I get like this...even though it hasnt really been since high school that I've felt this.

I'm excited about next year...
cause I know everyone is dying to know:
Summer
Law & Legal System

Fall
Legal Research
Civil Practice and Procedure
Law of Contracts
Admin Law
Marching Band

Spring
Legal Writing
Property and Estate Law (zzzzzzzzzz)
Law and Society
Trial Advocacy

I think it's still up for debate, because I didnt get exactly what I wanted.

In other news,
At a home depot store outside Atlanta, an 18 year old male employee was trying to help a customer put a ride on lawn mower into his car, via forklift.  The lawn mower was not on the platform just right, and started to tip over.  The employee then jumped to try to push the mower back onto the forklift, but the mower was too heavy and fell on him, cutting through his leg: skin, muscles, tissues, and bone.  The only thing keeping his leg attached was his calf muscle.  He was lying there bleeding out of his femoral artery, and no one around new what to do to help him.  There was one man working there who had experience and a cool head.  He came up to the boy, calmed him down, and tied his leg so that the bleeding would stop.  He followed medical procedures and marked the time the bleeding was stopped on the boy's forhead, preventing complications.  The ambulance arrived, and the EMT's asked who the doctor was.  He wasnt a doctor, he was just a loss prevention investigator.  He's my dad though.

life will work out eventually. if not, atleast i'll die.
