First day of finals out of the way!!!! YAY!!!! Only had 1 final today. Had AP College English first period today. It went alright I think. It took a long time. I believe that there are some of us that are a team, and using the originality of how we structure things responsibly. However, there are others that I feel have abused the privilege. There are new members on the team that do not feel like the team is really a Team anymore. They never saw it as such. They just see it as a clique of friends and then the rest of us who are not part of that clique.
I have taken a lot of slack this year. Forst because I was named Co captain, then because I am the Verse Regional Entry. I have had various things that have been said about me brought back to me from friends that arent even on the speech team. I feel that if people cant respect their own team mates, then they dont deserve to call them selves as such.
I agree full hearted-ly that speech is worthy of our attention, devotion and individuality. I am not asking people to become Forensics Robots, or to make speech the only thing they do, but the point of this entire article was to show that we need to bring some structure back to the team. I feel like I am getting personal attacks from all sides, and I have had enough of it. I have had these thoughts for the entire season, yet only posted them during finals because I was FED UP with everyones complaints. People complain that things arent run the way they want them to be, or that they arent getting what they think they deserve. Complain Complain Complain...yet they dont put an outward effort to show everyone they are actually trying.
I am not meaning this as an attack to anyone personally, but I am meaning it as I am sick of getting the griping towards me, which is why I posted it out there to begin with.
