The title comes from Inculto’s song of the same title that happens to be Lithuania’s song for Eurovision. It’s an incredibly catchy song. I suggest you go to Youtube afterwards and listen to it!
Disclaimer: I feel rather crummy.
Eastern European Funk
Lithuania was sitting at his desk, busy filing paperwork. It was dull and boring work, but it had to be done. He had gotten up early that morning since he had a lot to do and he wanted to get it out of the way so that he could spend the rest of the day relaxing. He was half way through his pile when he couldn’t focus on the words anymore and his vision was getting blurry and he fell asleep on the pile of papers that still needed to be sorted.
Toris was sleeping peacefully when he heard music being played in the distance. He furrowed his brow as he slowly woke up from his nap. By the time he was fully awake and his eyes were open, he found himself looking at someone’s thigh and hand. There was also a portable jukebox of sorts next to the thigh that was playing the song he had heard before. Confused, Lithuania lifted his head and was met with a pair of green eyes and a pretty smile.
“Like, finally, you’re awake! What are you doing sleeping anyway? You should be dancing!” Toris put his head back on his arms and tried to make believe that his energetic lover was not sitting on his desk, but even if he tried, Poland was still there and the music was still playing.
“C’mon Liet! It’s not time to sleep; we can totally do that tonight. Dance with me?” Feliks came to Toris’ side and took his hand before hoisting the brunette up and starting to dance with him.
“What is this song anyway?” He asked as he started dancing only so Poland would stop pestering him. Feliks looked at him in shock as though he had just told him that being under Russia’s rule had been the greatest thing that had ever happened to him.
“You’re, like, joking right?” Lithuania shook his head in the negative and Feliks stopped dancing.
“Liet, you have to, like, stop working so hard every now and then and, like, listen to the radio or something. This is your song for Eurovision! And it’s, like, totally catchy and, like, the lyrics are totally badass! They totally diss out Ivan and stuff, it’s, like, brilliant!”
“Well, it’s not my fault if I have a lot of paperwork to do, but that’s why I have you to keep me well informed.” Poland blushed slightly and Lithuania chuckled to himself as he took his partner’s hand and resumed dancing. The paperwork could wait until later.
OWARI
Reviews, no matter how short, even if they are anonymous, mean a lot to me and let me know that my writing brings emotions to you readers out there. I see you, the ones who only favourite, the ones who add me to alert, don’t think I don’t. Even if it’s just an exclamation point, it warms my heart.
