Babies, Fish, Univarcity, Location
Hola everyone!
It has now been a full week that I started univarcity and this is what I have to say about my classes in general. [I know, this is very interesting]
Film and Video I: Awesome class. Teacher is interesting, work is okay, readings are okay, the lab dudes know their shit, working with old cameras and new ones, overall, awesome.
History of Communications: Teacher is okay, readings are fine [lol Franco-Prussian war and pigeons; seriously], lab; don't know yet since didn't have one, but the guy looks cool, essay meh but will do, research paper; PAIN IN THE ASS, overall; not too bad.
Communication theory: I WANT TO SHOOT SOMETHING. Teacher is ...okayish, the readings = pain, the greatest bummer: exam IN THE EXAM PERIOD. Allow me to rant, please. I am in the Communication Studies department in the global arts domain. You do NOT put an exam in the exam period. IT'S STUPID. Why not just do like all other teachers and if there is an exam, give it on the last class? But nooo it's gonna be anywhere between the 8th of December to the 23rd of December. I swear if it's after the 14th I'll be pissed. But meh, whatever.
Intro to Acting 1: Awesome class! It's theatre, what else can I say. There's a dude from Austria, a guy named Ludovic with blonde slicked hair, a guy named Matthew and this other dude named JP that I swear looks like Jean-Pierre. SERIOUSLY. [Only JP is my group but LOL I laughed in my head] The work load is simple and the class dynamics are good.
Telling tales: Other theatre class, other awesome class. THEATRE IS AWESOME!
Overall: Uni's not so bad, better than Cegep and even though the readings are a pain that I wish could be obliterated, I have friends and all's pretty much good.
Except for the fact that my cousin's wedding in NJ is not a good enough reason to not lose a point for missing one class. -.-
That said, my cousin had a baby girl. They named her Giuliana Rose. She's adorable. I so hope I'm going to see her when I go down to NY. kjnf kjfn kjf
My friends got me a fish for my birthday. His name is Sire McGill. [No, I don't go to McGill but they do lol]
And lastly, it is my biggest dream to have a reader of mine or someone who visits my LJ come up to me one day and say hi. So if any of you are from the MTL area [or Laval] and ever see me SAY HI! Call me orangepencils, call me Windex, just come up to me and say "OMG I READ YOUR LJ!" or "Quétario rules!" and it'll make my day. If any of you go to Concordia; look for me! Or if ever you see a girl with a red and white checkered hat that says Croatia; it's me.
Out of curiosity, where are you guys from? If you don't wanna tell me, don't. Or you can tell me the continent if you don't wanna be specific.
