Summer Blues
Usually, I always do a list of things I want to do during summer, in April, and then compare and contrast at the end of summer. My month of April was chaotic and every month after that as well, so I never got around to do my list. However summer came to an abrupt end, so here I am making a list of things I did, with notes and comments.
- Finished university for good.
- Went on European Conquest with Mom (Munich, Berlin, Marseille, Grenoble, Paris.)
- Met BFF from Poland!
- Got 3 subbing gigs!
- P. came to vist for a few days!
- Didn't get to participate in the dance show, since I was away.
- Went to watch an away Habs game on TV at the Bell C.
- Met Youppi!
- Worked at camp again.
- Graduated from university.
- PASSED THE FRENCH EXAM!
- Coached soccer again.
- Went to see 3 Fifa Women's games, one which I saw for free.
- Went to NYC for cousin's wedding
- Lot's of camp hangouts with camp friends
- Went camping for the first time with camp friends
- Went to Just for Laughs
- Met Westie Bestie!
- Got an actual job in an actual school for the actual year.
- Going to see a show with camp friend tonight
This summer was bizarre. It started off hectic and I never saw it go by. There were a few bumps along the road, but overall it was great. The ending bit came to soon, as I didn't think I would be working in a school. And then within 18 hours I got called for an interview, passed the interview, and got the job. It's been a whirlwind. I was looking forward to free time and more relax work.
I didn't go bike riding as much, or wrote as much, or read as much, or hung out in my hammoc as much as I would have liked to. Didn't really see other friends either.
It's also the start of the end of an era, as my long summers are now over forever. They were good while they lasted.
I guess here's a toast to the start of a new crazy adventure and a new busier than ever me.
