I wondered what the differences in heights might be and discussed it with Lomitzz and Sillylitteteaparty. The results amused me.

It was a known fact that Jean and Jean-Pierre were both tall men. Jean-Pierre would have liked to say that he was a full six feet tall, but he fell a few hairs short of that. At least, he was taller than Vincent and that was fine.
However, when they started hanging out with Jean and Oliver, his curiosity got the best of him. Jean seemed to be about his height, but he needed an exact number.
Therefore, the next time they saw each other, Jean-Pierre grabbed his counterpart’s arm and dragged him to the closest free, flat wall surface, calling Vincent over, asking for the measuring tape, while Oliver followed close behind, intrigued.
“Qu’ess tu fais, Tremblay?”/ “What are you doing, Tremblay?” Jean asked him, trying not to trip.
“On doit s’mesurer.”/ “We have to measure ourselves.” Jean-Pierre simply told him, as an answer. Jean shrugged. They stopped in the living room, where the couch had been pushed over to give them some space. Oliver took a seat and observed, while Duchesse jumped on his lap.
“J’veux même pas savoir.”/ “I don’t even want to know.” Jean-Pierre ignored him and motioned for him to lean against the wall, while he did the same. Vincent approached them both and marked the spot, by making a line with his pencil.
Jean and Jean-Pierre stepped away from the wall and looked at the marks. Jean was a little intrigued himself and could only smirk, when he saw that his mark was slightly higher placed than Jean-Pierre’s. He turned and his smirk only grew, when he saw the other man’s stunned and upset expression.
“And the total is; Jean-Pierre, you’re at 180cm and Jean, you’re at 183cm, or 5 foot 11 inches and 6 foot flush. I guess that settles it, then.” Jean-Pierre huffed.
“Heh, un pouce… c’est sûrement pas l’seul pouce de plus que j’ai sur toi… si tu sais c’que j’veux dire…”/ “Heh, one inch… probably not the only inch I’ve got on you… if you know what I mean…” Jean sniggered, and winked, while Jean-Pierre fumed. There was silence for ten long seconds, before both Oliver and Vincent burst out laughing. Jean-Pierre glared at them all and stomped off.
So much for his curiosity.
