Spending Christmas
“Do we really have to spend Christmas with them?” Vincent whined, from his spot, on the bed. He was lying on his stomach, propped up on his elbows and looking at Jean-Pierre change. He should do the same, but he was very comfortable in his underwear.
His soon-to-be-husband turned around, buttoning his shirt and glared at him. The effect was lost, however, since Jean-Pierre was only half dressed and hence, only had his boxers, socks and shirt on. Vincent thought he looked adorable.
“Pour la dernière fois, Vincent, oui. Jean est mon cousin, pis Oliver est mon très bon ami.”/ “For the last time, Vincent, yes. Jean is my cousin and Oliver is my very good friend.”
“But you know I can’t stand the twig!”
“Dit pas ça, c’est méchant.”/ “Don’t say that, it’s rude.”
“And he doesn’t like me either. I don’t want to spend an entire evening with Mr. Frigid and Mr. Grumpy-Pants.”
“Vincent…” Jean-Pierre warned.
“Wouldn’t you rather spend a nice, quiet evening, at home, with me?...” Vincent knelt on the bed and wrapped his arms around Jean-Pierre’s shoulder and midriff, hugging him from behind, pressing himself close. “I could make it worth your while… we could have a little bit of Christmas fun, in bed… all alone…” He whispered seductively, in Jean-Pierre’s ear. He tugged at his shirt, with one hand, and passed the other underneath Jean-Pierre’s still partially unbuttoned dress-shirt, to caress his stomach.
“Essaye pas, toi. J’veux pas un repeat de l’année passée.”/ “Don’t try. I don’t want a repeat of last year.” Jean-Pierre grumbled, but he still turned around to properly hold Vincent.
Vincent took this as a small victory and a step in the right direction, as he nuzzled their noses together, before kissing Jean-Pierre fully on the lips. His lover didn’t seem to mind.
“Think about it, chéri. You can have me any way you want… we can take out a few toys as well… anything you want…” Vincent put on his most convincing and seductive look ever, placing lingering kisses to Jean-Pierre’s skin, as he slowly started undoing his shirt, convinced the game was in the bag, but then his fiancé put a hand on top of his, to stop him.
“Bien essayé, Vincent, mais on a encore une heure pour se préparer et partir. Alors, on r’mettra toutes ces choses à une autre fois.”/ “Nice try, Vincent, but we still have one hour to get ready and leave. We’ll postpone all that to another time.” Jean-Pierre pecked his lips and stepped out of his embrace, returning to his dresser.
“No fair!” Vincent grumbled.

“Remind me again, when did I agree to this?” Oliver asked his boyfriend, petting his cat.
“Y’a trois semaines, un soir, après qu’on a baisé.”/ “Three weeks ago, one night, after we had sex.” Oliver threw him the folded pair of socks that was next to him. Jean chuckled and stole a kiss, from him.
“Do I have to come? You can see your cousin and I’ll stay here.”
“Hmm, non, toi aussi t’as besoin d’sortir de la maison, une fois de temps en temps. Allez, lève toi, pis habille toi.”/ “Hmm, no, you need to get out of the house, once in a while, as well. C’mon, get up and get dressed.”
“But Vincent is going to be there. I can’t stand that asshole!”
“Je sais. Tout l’monde le sais, mais Jean-Pierre va être là et tu semblais content de ce fait.”/ “I know. Everyone knows, but Jean-Pierre will be there and you seemed happy about that.”
“Still, Vincent is going to be there. God, he thinks he’s so high and mighty. It makes me sick.”
“Au pire, parles-y pas, passe tout ton temps a’c Jean-Pierre, ou moi, mais go, habille.”/ “You can spend all your time with Jean-Pierre, or with me, but get up, get dressed.” Oliver pouted and got up, taking his clothes.
“You owe me for this.”
“Ch’te rappelle que Jean-Pierre est ton ami.”/ “Let me remind you that Jean-Pierre is your friend.”
“Qui a pris la pire décision de sa vie en demandant au connard de l’marier.”/ “Who made the worst decision of his life, when he asked that asshole to marry him.”
“C’est quand même ton ami.”/ “He’s still your friend.”
“And you still owe me.”
“Oui, chéri.”/ “Yes, dear.” Jean patronised.
