Do you know a language other than English?
Think of what animals say in that language.
In English, a dog says "woof" or it barks
In Spanish, it says "guau guau"
In Hebrew, it says "how how"
and practically every other animal says something different according to each language.
EXCEPT cows and cats, which always say moo (or mu, OK) and meow, regardless of the language.
Can you think of a language where a cat doesn't say meow (or miau, whatever) or a cow doesn't say moo?
If so, I'd like to know.
