Tomorrow marks a mile stone in my life. It is my 30th birthday. As I look back, which most people do when hitting a mile marker in life, I hope the next 30 years are as good as the past were. I had many ups and downs, but they made me the person I am today. I lost some good friends, and made some good friends. I had many new, sometimes scare, experiences. And led me to my hunny bunny! Joe is the best thing that has happened to me since I met my two best friends! And he is my best friends (again after my other two best friends!) This past weekend was proof of what a great man, and great person, Joe is!
Last Friday (October 17th) I had all for of my wisdom teeth removed (they were impacted and jaw bone was removed, not real fun). And those of you who have known me for a while know what a bitch I can be when I am in pain or sick, so surgery (a major oral surgery) will make me worse. Joe came over the night before, took me shopping for groceries for after surgery made sure I had a good meal before my surgery, and kept me relaxed before my surgery (of course drugs help him with that, Xanex is a wonder drug). He took me to the oral surgeon in the morning. All weekend long he he took great care of me. The surgeon and her staff let him know when to ice and when to start heat, gave him a new pain script for me, and other helpful advice for dealing with pain over the weekend. He made sure I took my meds every four hours and ate. He called all my family and friends after he got me home and to bed from surgery. I don't honestly remember much of Friday or Saturday. But that might be for the best. He says I wasn't a bitch to him, but he may be being nice. I do know that I was spoiled rotten over the weekend and it was nice. (He took me out for a shake at Steak-n-Shake just to get me out of the house Saturday night and have something different).
This weekend will be a good one. Not only is it my b-day weekend, but my best friend (and maid-of-honor) is coming down to help with wedding planning fun! We are checking out venues, photographers, and dresses! It great fun. Katie is very organized and is an asset with all the planning (I would be really lost without her). Well off to take more loopy drugs so I can sleep.
