João Gilberto singing Doralice in Getz/Gilberto is quite possibly the sexiest linguistic event, no, song, ever. (Gah, Linguistics is screwing up my view on EVERYTHING.) Maybe it's the lack of Italian Opera-esque vibrato that goes up and down one octave at a time, but oh wow that vibratoless voice is sexy. Stan Getz and his white ass can go screw himself. I was in love with João since hearing Garota de Ipanema (Girl from Ipanema) for the first time, but wow, Doralice is <3.
