~Variations on Existentialism~
By: Ashley Brown

Sing my something soft,
Sad and delicate,
Ivory and intricate,
Like piano keys.

Intertwined in spider
Webs and fairy wings.
The blushing princess
Of amethyst peonies.

Or sing me something loud,
And out of key-sing me
Anything. Dionysian nights
And dizzy days.

My heart was here all along,
Lying bare in this place.
My heart was here all along,
Waiting for you to fill this space.

for all of u that r about to comment and bite my head off becuz i used a line and part of a line from the song "existentialism on prom night" by straylight run...i modeled this poem off of their song with the inspiration of those couple lines. i am not trying to steal another's work. just thought i'd throw that in there so u all know.
