Hawaii - Day 5
No deaths in the cardiac ICU yet. That's good news. Someone in trauma had one yesterday and I really don't want us to have any. Tomorrow is the last day working in the ICU and then I fly to Kauai for hiking, scuba, and Australian men (I hope).
Work has gotten really fun. Today we got to go home an hour earlier (worked 13 hrs instead of 14 hrs!). I've gotten over jetlag and adapted to the long shifts.
Dinner's been great yesterday and today. Yesterday we went to Akasaka for sushi, this little place in between a bunch of strip clubs. The sushi waitress ordered for us and gave us a great meal. I got pretty drunk off of very little alcohol and came home and fell asleep on top of the covers in my clothes. The boys went to the strip club but I declined.
Today we went to Roys. No strip clubs. We also walked up to the beach and stuck our feet in a bit. Dinner was fantastic. Tofu for dinner today and yesterday.
Kauai tomorrow! I am going to miss my ICU nurses.
