Here's the real update
We still haven't loaded the proper stuff for my new camera, sorry, no pictures yet.
colorado is pretty awesome. I had no job for my first 2 or so weeks of being here. I was really depressed about it too. You know me, always on the go, I usually have 2+ jobs and I like being out with people. So when I would send Chris off to work, I would sit at home and be all depressed. I wouldn't even bike around town because I had no money so I would feel like I didn't belong or something.
If your asking 'what about walgreens' well, I'll tell you. The main reason why I was willing to move was the fact I was promised a position. Okay great, so, from March to early May, I had a job here. Then, it comes to a week or so, and then, no position. Fuckin great. I am number one on the waiting list, so the next open position is MINE. However, that may not be until August. I can't wait until AUGUST. I have a new job (which I'll get to) but I still want my cushy position because I have benefits. New job? No bennies. So what am I supposed to do about that? At the moment, I'm using all of my paid vacay. I know, not the smartest thing, but hey, it's a paycheck as I try to find a means.
Then last Thursday happened...I saw an as, EVENT COORDINATOR. OMG that is just what I want to do! No way! So I got it, and it is called American Charities Inc. I work for a non-profit that gives people in need food and clothing. The only question we ask is 'how many people in your family.' That's the only ?? no paperwork, no waiting, no church affiliation, then we give them 3 items per person. That's it! Very good cause, however not sure how good the pay will be. But that really doesn't matter. I'm getting connections, and networking, and getting to know the city, and I'm doing something I really enjoy!
Well, mostly enjoy. As the coordinator, I get told where the event is, what we are doing for it, and them I have to group together volunteers. I get the hardest job possible for the new person. I know no one, nor the city, but I will try...Today, I have to call a list of volunteers today and see if they are free for this weekend....
Okay, Cathy got a raodbike. Super excited, Wanted to use it today, but it's cold and going to be rainy. So I just might drive, which would be tood bad or anything....
