Day 1

Why do I get up early? I have no idea. Anyway, it's the next day. We spent most of yesterday traveling around the globe, from Manchester to Detroit to Tokyo (for like 5 minutes) and then finally to Hong Kong. It's very warm here, but there's an air conditioner, so I guess it's okay. The flight to Detroit wasn't bad, just longer than I was used to. The Detroit airport had a pretty fountain that I know Julie would have liked. (Sabrina got a picture, I believe.) Next was the 13 hour flight to Tokyo. It was kinda cramped, but we made do. I had pretzels (no peanuts, although Sabrina's mom had some), there were 2 "full" meals (which weren't THAT bad), and a midflight snack, which was a turkey sandwich, which was quite tasty. After arriving in Tokyo, we had to run through the baggage check and like fly to the gate. Since we were so late (turbulance and dodging storms, yeah that wasn't fun), we were bumped up to business class. It was amazing. The seats were so wide. There was another meal, but I only had some bread and salad, but I got all these little extras too. Everyone on the planes kept offering us alcohol, which was funny, since we are minors. I actually slept on the last 2 flights, which even surprised me. Once we got to Hong Kong, we went to Sabrina's aunt's friend's house. Two of her uncles and her aunt were there. We are on the 19th floor, but it goes much higher up. After they left, we played this card game, but we've combined 2 decks, so no one has won yet. We got to Hong Kong at 10pm, their time on the 28th. We went to bed at like 3am, but I got up at like 6:30am. Why can't I sleep more? I don't get the whole jet lag thing, maybe because we arrived at night, I don't know. Well, I'm off to do whatever until 10am, when I have to wake them all up. Hong Kong is so pretty from here. More updates later!!!
