I have a blue checkered band-aid across my forehead now.
I wish I could say it was because of a skating accident, or a biking accident or whatever. I don't know, whatever sounds cool.
But the truth is we have a desk fan at home sitting on top of a high cabinet. The desk fan is quite heavy and looks like an industrial fan (read: made of steel all over). So anyway, yesterday afternoon my Mom set it bent really low so that it fans the floor where our dogs were sprawled sleeping (yes, my Mom never wants our dogs to feel any inconvenience, they get to use the a/c when the weather's really warm). Meanwhile I was sprawled on the couch catching up on my ETC and Discovery shows. After a few minutes my feet were getting cold from the fan so I stood up to raise its "head". Well, as I said it was on top of a high cabinet, which was up to my chest. I didn't know you couldn't raise fan heads when they are bent too low and are not fanning from left to right.
So I tried to raise the fan head. Nothing. Pulled again. Nothing. Pulled harder. I think on the fourth try I pulled too hard (it still didn't register that I should put the fan in swing mode first) the fan fell on my head. Right smack on my forehead. A small part of my forehead's skin was scraped off. About half an inch long. And I had dust lines (from the fan grills) all over my face and hands. I looked like a cross between taong grasa and Carrie. Like this oh:
Haha okay hindi naman masyado and I apologize for the gory picture. Okay, less blood but same facial expression. And add dust lines/stripes on my forehead and cheeks hahaha. Pero masakit ha so don't laugh too much.
So that is how I got blue checkered band aid on my forehead. Bow.
