When I first watched this MV, I was blown away by the stunning film-like quality. They did a great job in making it appear to be a million dollar motion picture. The style is very much like film noir, just a bit more, I don't know, lighthearted? (And by that I mean brighter) I applaud the use of a black and white, very gray scaled, style as it truly resonates bleakness and anguish, what the song is saying by "hating love songs". Also, as I was capping this, I noticed that Taeyang's expressions were truly hilarious - he always had his brow furrowed and a frustrated or devastated look on his face. The use of smoke and the tilted, tracking shots leaves the viewer only slightly disarrayed as these shots continue to portray love as a crazy feeling, leaving the person in love disorientated and confused.
The clothes - the black suits with white shirts - really make them look sophisticated and handsome and stand out in the bleak, explosion-prone desert. I loved G-dragon with his one earring, his open jacket and baggy pants 8'DDDDDDD
Also, it wasn't until I was capping the end of the MV that I noticed the burning, crashing car, haha.
