[shifting, and then quiet footsteps muted by carpet. a door opens and the light rain can be heard somewhere in the background along with something quiet murmured from Olette.]

No, he's harmless.. poor thing.

You're still near the hotel, right?

Yes, just out front.

[johnnygarland]

[He looks out front and spots both Olette and the thin animal. He grimaces at the dog's condition and calls out]

You probably shouldn't get too close. It might have a disease.

[orangeblooms]

[She glances back over her shoulder towards him, then back at the animal. Olette hadn't really thought about that, too caught up in feeling bad for the poor dog. She straightens up and takes a small step back.]

Do you know if anyone found any sort of containers inside with the supplies? He could probably use some water..

Yeah--there should probably be a cup or plate or something in the bar...

[He runs inside, and comes back with a plate with raised edges after about three minutes. He opens up his canteen and carefully pours to fill the plate as much as he can without spilling any over. Then he backs away, watching to see how the dog will react.]

[carefully, she pushes it a little closer, and then back away as well, watching with hopeful eyes.

the dog lifts it's head, sniffs the air in their direction, and then hesitantly approaches the plate. he gives the water an experimental lap, and then begins to drink it quickly.

Olette smiles a little, and then frowns.]

I hope there aren't any more like him..

He's drinking, at least. That's a good sign.

Maybe if we have enough food, we can give him a little...

...There might be other animals, if this guy's around. We should start looking around, see what else is here. There's other buildings still standing.
