It was a simple enough task; make a cake for Rivalz’s surprise-but-not-quite-surprise-because-he-still-has-to-help-set-up-for-it-birthday party. So understandably, Shirley was a little bit shocked at the state of the kitchen when she came to check on the progress of the dessert Gino and Suzaku had been put in charge of. There was what looked to be remains of a small fire extinguished on the curtains, bowls and broken egg shells with various dramatic faces drawn on them lay scattered on the counters, and cake batter was splattered everywhere, including on a shirtless Knight of Seven furiously cleaning up spilled cream on the ground.
“S-Shirley um, things got a little out of hand” he tried to smile, but why did he look so nervous? “Gino had to go find more rags so….” He trailed off with a small laugh that was probably meant to explain everything.
“Do you…want any help?” she offered, not sure of what else to say, and he certainly looked like he needed it which is why she was (again very understandably) confused when Suzaku protested the idea so adamantly, a light dusting of pink covering his cheeks. She left the disaster that was the kitchen at his insisting and it wasn’t until she was down the hallway that the Knight of Three came stumbling out of the pantry, all ill-contained laughter and just finishing up the last buttons on his uniform.
Rivalz had a store bought cake for his birthday. He didn’t mind.
(part 3) He should have known. When Lloyd set the blue pills, which most definitely did not look like his normal caffeine pills, down in front of him with a smile and a ‘these should help’, he should have thrown them down the sink. But he took them, and now he was suffering because of it. However, before he could do anything to alleviate the burden of his current…predicament, Gino Weinberg barged in to his room, all broad grins and ‘Suzakuuuuu let’s plaaaay’ (and wasn’t that a very poor choice of words).
“Ah, Gino” he began, stuttering slightly “I’m kinda…tired and I just need to rest, so if you could please…leave…now” there, that didn’t sound too desperate, and if his eyes linger on Gino’s slightly parted lips (wondering what they would feel like peppering his body), then he’ll just hope the blonde doesn’t notice.
He noticed. With a slightly furrowed brow Gino approached him, and when he placed a hand on the flushed Knight of Seven’s forehead as if checking for a fever, Suzaku’s eyes fluttered closed and he let out a short, breathy moan, nuzzling against the hand. The brunette angled his head up, pressing a few light kisses on the inside of the other knight’s wrist, then bit lightly down on the sensitive skin there. Common sense returned a moment later and Suzak cringed, expecting Gino to pull away and make a hasty retreat. But he didn’t, instead the hand on his forehead moved down to his cheek, long fingers brushing against his jaw. Suzaku leaned into the touch and when he opened his eyes Gino was suddenly closer than he remembered, clear blue eyes searching his own as if waiting for permission before continuing.
Suzaku knew that he should ask Gino to leave, it wasn’t right to use him like this. But another wave of pleasure rushed through him from the drugs and before he knew it, he was clenching the fabric of the blonde’s shirt and pulling him closer, their lips just barely touching.
“Gino, please” he whispered, his voice was much higher than usual and dangerously close to a whimper “I-I want...”
Gino was merciful and didn’t let him finish that sentence.
The next day Lloyd watched from a distance as the Knight of Three, grinning larger than he had initially though possible, hung on the Knight of Seven. The taller boy’s chin rested on top of fluffy brown curls, and for once Suzaku didn’t grumble and shove him off. The scientist smirked, mentally marking down the first part of his experiment as a success, deciding to move forward with phase two. He was sure that Cecile’s cooking could mask any taste.
The meeting room was empty, not a soul in sight and only five minutes until the scheduled meeting. Suzaku sighed, setting down his things and mentally rechecking the time in the e-mail he was sent. Suddenly, Bismark’s leather chair swiveled around and Gino sat grinning at him, his chin perched on entwined fingers.
“I bet you’re wondering why I called you here” the blonde smiled, barely keeping himself from bursting into laughter as if this moment were the funniest thing that had ever happened to him.
It was not even slightly amusing to Suzaku, who decided that he’d rather wait for the other Knights outside. However, before he could make it out the door, he felt a hand clasp around his wrist which then pulled him into the waiting lap of the Knight of Three.
“C’moooon Suzaku~” he purred, his breath gliding across Suzak’s bare neck. “No one’s around, lets have some fun”
Suzaku grit his teeth and attempted to stand back up, but an arm snaked around his middle and pulled him close against Gino’s warm chest. “The other Knights will be here any minute” he sighed, hoping this would deter any further advances from the younger boy.
“Oh yeah about that, the meeting was rescheduled, guess I forgot to tell you?” The look Gino sent him was innocent and apologetic and had it been anyone else he was trying to convince, it might have worked.
“Let me guess, we have just enough time between now and the meeting to do something scandalous, which I would inevitably regret, and you would use as potential blackmail material for making me give in to even more scandalous situations in the future. Does that sound right?”
“Why, Sir Kururugi!” Gino exclaimed, pretending to be abhorred at the idea. “I can’t believe you’d suggest something so…so devious!” and with that he spun the knight on his lap around, blue eyes sparkling with mischief, “I think it’s a splendid idea”
Suzaku arched an eyebrow and Gino took this opportunity to place a row of kisses along the smaller boy’s jaw line, paying particular attention to the sensitive spots just below his ears. It was much more effective than his puppy eyes.
“I’ll give you fifteen minutes”
(part 5)
“I never knew you had such a pretty singing voice, Suzaku”
Suzaku looked up from his lunch to lock eyes with a smirking Milly Ashford. This couldn’t be good.
“Um, pardon?”
She continued on as if he hadn’t spoken “I mean really, I should get you to sing for one of the events, I’m sure you’d be very popular” there was something in her tone just then, something usually reserved for when she was torturing Shirley about the other girl’s….physical qualities, it unsettled him.
Suzaku just stared at her for a moment, a bewildered look on his face. He cast a glance around, wondering if perhaps this was an elaborate prank and any moment someone was going to spring from the bushes and unload a can of silly string on to him. But all that he got was an equally confused look from Lelouch who shrugged his shoulders when Suzaku reluctantly made eye contact with him.
“I’m sorry but, I think you must be confused, I don’t sing.”
“Oh~? Is that so? Well then, it must have been someone else I heard singing in the shower in the student council building, how did that little tune go? Oh that’s right!” Her grin turned absolutely wicked “ah! Gino~ there” she let out an exasperated groan “yes, there~ oh Gi-“
Suzaku’s hand flew as if it had a mind of its own, covering her mouth before she could continue the verbal torture, perhaps it was the Geass, activating before he could die from embarrassment. He didn’t notice Lelouch stiffen, his hand clenching tightly, before he chuckled.
“So, you and the Knight of Three have gotten rather close, have you?”
Apparently the Geass wasn’t working because Suzaku still felt like he could die from embarrassment, and he was going to take Gino with him.
