First and foremost, I finally solved my PSP problem. I had gotten a used PSP 2000 from Gamestop about a month ago. It fell all of 1 foot, then it was happenstance on reading UMDs... so, I finally traded it into Gamestop for a GREAT price, and got a PSP 3000 with KH: Birth By Sleep. But it's a shiny silver PSP! I think it's worth mentioning I've only ever traded in broken Sony consoles to Gamestop- I had a PS2 that stopped reading blue-backed discs a long time ago.
But yeah, I'm really happy with it. I won't ever be getting a PSP Go... considering Sony shot themselves in the feet thrice with a lack of support with digital downloads. Cause, for serious, a lot of the best PSP titles are very old and not present on the market. Bah. Also, they need some work on their damn component cables and a full-screen option built into the PSP. But that's also solved with a zoom, and nothing to do with the Go. But yeah, seriously, back to it- the biggest problem I have with the Go is how it mangles hands. My roommate and I actually tried one in the store for more than 5 minutes, and, ouch.
But the 3000 is great. Very ergonomic, and also much lighter than the PSP 2000. I have a Nyko charger grip on the way too to help my hand cramps.
One thing I want to express a frustration on though are those "elitist" Japanese game fans. Because seriously, a lot of Vets from the SNES days like myself just want to tell them to pull their heads from their asses on a lot. Today's incident included bitching over how the US version of PSP2 was "easier" because one set of twin daggers was easier to obtain. Keeping in mind, that, we're not supposed to get at the DLC and we had to make a work-around, one, and two, we don't even get the DLC items fully. Which is very lame indeed. But oh noes, since the US has slightly different drop charts on one mob pandemonium breaks loose. It's downright idiotic sometimes since I sadly and most likely know more Japanese than these elitists, and two, they're fragmenting what is already a delicate and small user community in the US/EU for the Phantasy Star franchise. We have the normal people, weeaboos, and hackers. What a power struggle!
