As much as I really loved Sam, I thought Alex brought a whole new kind of depth and complexity to the universe/limbo/1980s, from her relationship with Gene and the rest of the CID, and the fact that she was a mother. I watched A2A absolutely torn between wanting her to stay in the 80s and wanting her to be reunited with Molly. And now despite having watched the finale and having neither happen, I thought the ending was seriously beautiful and appropriate.
GENE. I can't believe he lost his Quattro, and his bolly in one go. Oh man. I'm going to miss him and Alex together, all their banter and UST, their debates on whether or not Nelson Mandela is a terrorist, so much. I'm going to miss the entire CID so, so much. ;___;
I'm currently rewatching seasons 1&2 before I finally start on 3, but I'm so scared to see the end. I have no doubt it will be amazing because they'd have to seriously drop the ball not to tell an amzing story to end this on. But...it's the end, and I've kind of picked up that it's totally heartbreaking (because it's the end and in its own right) and I know I'm not ready and I doubt I will be when I get to it.
Because I, like you, love these characters, and the world they make up, and just...everything, I'm not ready to let that go just yet.
THEY KILLED THE QUATTRO!!!!! Most senseless, saddest death ever. That car did nothing to anyone but be awesome.
I'll miss the show like crazy and I loved the end though I still wish Gene could have had his Bolly as a reward for all his good work. Especially since she knew what was going on and still wanted to stay with him. They could have forgot together.
And after this Lost was a huge let down. The Brits did it so much better.
I AGREE WITH EVERYTHING YOU SAY and I am at work at the ass crack of dawn and want to cry about more than just sleep deprivation. I love all these characters so damn much.
