Fic: Handlebars. (Doctor Who, Amy/Rory, G, SPOILERS for 5x07)

Handlebars. This is another one of those stories I never expected to write. Amy/Rory, or Amelia/Rory, or both. You'll see what I mean. Also, I'm taking liberties with anything I don't know. MAJOR SPOILERS for DW 5x07, "Amy's Choice."

She walks through the halls mostly undetected, and she pretends it is because the Doctor has made her invisible

Ohhhh. This is just... ohhhh. I'd been turning these two around in my head, and then you go and write everything I'd been thinking about. In the most gorgeous, lovely way.

Only it's difficult, sometimes, imagining him with his funny young-man face and old-man eyes and floppy hair. Sometimes it is only Rory she imagines.

And I am especially glad that came across! I think that's what I was trying to go for most, what I enjoyed about the episode, is that she and Rory and memory and reality itself were so tangled up. I'm happy you liked that.

The Amy versus Amelia idea is really interesting. I like it.

Thank you! I like that she is sometimes Amy and sometimes Amelia and sometimes both. I think a lot of people are probably like that, a little, inside.

Oh my god. This is amazing and beautiful and I love Amy/Amelia so much it actually brings tears to my eyes. I love how she's so imaginative and tying her own wrists with a handkerchief and so small and self-conscious. I love how in always looking for the Doctor she finds Rory everywhere, and how she never tells him she loves him because they just are. Just, gah. Wonderful.

I like twisty love stories (um, obviously) so the whole thing where Amy and Rory and their memories are twisted up together and they don't know what's real and she chooses him, because that's the most real thing to her? Guh. It was inevitable that I would fic it.

Oh, except for intrikate88's "The Mystery of the Cannibal Cave." It was sooo good and fun, really quirky and lovely, like a kids' adventure novel take on Who. You might have already seen it.
