I think terming a character's name a spoiler, particularly a new character, is silly. You don't know ANYTHING about her from the name, not even her gender. But I'm sure there's someone floating around out there that thinks it's a horrible, no good, very bad spoiler, so maybe you could say 'the new character in episode 8?' Although that's unwieldy. And ooo, FIC!
Yeah, I agree- the name was released in the promo materials, long before the episode aired. I'm just skittish, I think. I truly don't want to spoil anybody, but. But. I think it'll be okay, right ? It'll be fine.
I'm waffling.
(ALSO, how did I write this ? It boggles the mind. I'm putting it up with her name on it, I have to, it's her story. Sigh.)
It's like, some people don't like using "The Doctor's Daughter" as a tag, because it's too "spoilery". HELLO!? THE BBC APPROVED THAT TITLE!!! IT IS NOT A SPOILER!!!
That's an episode title- it doesn't give you any information except for that there will be some kind of daughter for some kind of doctor- very rarely are the episode titles so literal ! It doesn't tell you how it will play out, who she'll be, where she'll come from.... etc.
And that's how I feel too, I just understand that people feel really strongly about spoilers. I'm hoping I don't freak anyone out, but I'm not going to not post the fic because of it.

Is it...shippy?
And I think that maybe if they haven't seen it, they wouldn't really know about her? Or if they're spoilerphobes.

I think I'm going to post it, with a spoiler cut. I'll try not to wound any eyeballs. ;)
