Rizzoli & Isles 1x06 "I Kissed A Girl"

Aug 16, 2010 23:02

This episode went over and beyond all my expectations. I love Angie and Sasha so, so very much for their crazy amount of chemistry.

1. This show doesn't need a lesbian bar to gay it up. The subtext is overwhelming. I got flutters in my stomach when Jane batted her eyelashes at Maura within the first ten minutes to get what she wanted. And it worked.

3. They're having wine in bed together. They're not a couple? Really...? Now I know it's a lie. I love how when they wake up together in the same bed, there's only a brief comment on it. Just make yourself at home Maura! The first thing on her mind? Let's see who thinks Jane is hot!

4. Shopping trip?! I love how Maura hasn't even thought about where Jane needs to hide her detective gear. She's all, "Let's dress you up, mmm!"

5. So much bantering. IT'S SO ADORABLE. Jane, there is no right answer when your girlfriend is angry at you. When Maura got serious about how amazed she is by people, Jane has that look of "this is why I love you" before covering it up and teasing Maura anyway. Oh, but Jane, Maura knows you too well.

6. Maura and Jane are totally role-playing it up in that club. Maura, the flirty waitress-OMG IT'S REALLY HAPPENING. I know the rest of you caught Jane being completely mesmerized by Maura's breasts. I feel so bad for all these blind dates, trying to woo a woman who's obviously already in love. With the waitress.

7. Korsack and Frost laughing about how Jane is so obviously gay. Wow, and I love how Frost shot Korsack down that yes, cheating is cheating, even if they're gay.

8. I love how insignificant the hetero!loveinterests are, so much that it's not effort to forget that they exist. The gay subtext definitely overpowers.

9. YES, YES, YES! I knew Maura would pull through and tell that yoga guy that she was Jane's girlfriend.

Yeah. So. This show is really gay.
