back in Tejas

Ok, I'm back in Austin. Boooo. Australia is about a million times more fun. And the trip back was rather harrowing. The trip from Brisbane to Sydney was not a problem, but I was running really late for my flight out of Sydney because checking in took approximately forever. And that airport is freaking huge. When I made it to LA I had to go through customs and immigration and stuff before getting from the international terminal to terminal 1 to check my bag for my flights back to Austin. I was one of the last people to get my bag in the international terminal so that put me way behind, and then I had to walk to terminal 1 because I couldn't find the shuttle. I made it to the checkin counter about 45 minutes before my departure time. Fortunately, security went pretty quickly. Then I had to stop in Vegas, but I only had to switch planes (no bag checking or security or anything) so that was alright. I probably made it back to my house at about 1 am which is about 24 hours after I left Brisbane. And like 27 hours after Shane and I left his house. I was very happy to be in an actual bed, I tell you what.
So anyway, my landlady is here with her husband for another day or two or something so her daughter's family is hanging around a lot. I mostly am hiding out in my room today, but the fridge is full of food and they're actually letting me eat it! Hooray! And fortunately I have a really cool landlady so I don't mind her being here. And she fixed all the burned out lightbulbs, of which there were many.
I don't want this post to get out of control as far as length, so I think I'll stop here. I'll talk about Australia later I reckon.
