Dupont Art Walk
So, yesterday I did something new, met up with a group of 20 or so MeetinDC'ers and wandered through the art galleries of the neighborhood, which are apparently open one Friday evening a month. It was interesting. Most of the art didn't interest me, there was one set that looked particularly good though. For the most part, the group was too large and anonymous for me to talk to them collectively, but one of the people I've gone running with was there, and I got to actually meet another, Erin, who is studying to be an art archivist, as we walked 10 blocks into Adam's Morgan for some empanadas. Most of the group was going to a meetinDC happy hour, which would have been packed and I didn't feel like dealing with, so I headed home.
It's not easy for me to get up and out of the apt to meet people at 6pm after a long day and long week. At least I didn't have to drive.
