Gym, have started to pack!

I am very boring right now, I know, but that's how I'm keeping it together. Doing things by myself is more soothing than doing them in company, most of the time (the Adorable Tots seem to be an exception, once I motivate to actually go see them); socializing takes extra energy I just don't seem to have right now. Pray for me while I'm at the IASPR and RWA conferences next week. I will have to make sure to schedule in alone-time for myself.

I went to the gym last night - the first time since last Wednesday, though I had some exercise on the intervening days - and lifted. I tried 90 pounds on the barbell (45 pounds on each end, plus the barbell weighs 45 pounds, so 135 pounds total) and did two sets of 15 squats, after which I was tired. So I guess that was a good weight for me. Will stick with that until it doesn't make me tired any more, then go up, assuming I build enough muscle that can happen. I also did a couple of weight machines (Seated Row, Chest Press) while waiting for my turn with the racks, and increased my weight on those, too, though I didn't strive too hard because I was saving energy for the squats. Then I did 20 minutes of cardio at a high resistance on the elliptical.

Starting packing for the two conferences. I cleaned out my suitcase, sprayed it with Febreze (it didn't smell bad, just closed-up), and started collecting items that need to go, mostly the small random things like my calcium supplements, antihistamines, earplugs. I also chose jewelry and makeup, making sure I had the stuff I'll need for the two semi-formal events I'll be attending at RWA. The Passionate Ink party theme is "Burlesque," so I decided that called for bright, wacky eyeshadow and possibly glitter cream. The Harlequin party theme is "black and white," which is not a problem for a choral singer with scads of formal black clothing and jewelry as well.

Not sure what I'll pack tonight. Possibly toiletries. I know this sounds pathetic, but it's an energy thing. I don't have many spoons. Doing a bit at a time is the way I can manage right now. And manage I will.
