Thought I could rest after one of the most frantic weeks in recent memory, but I had yet another wedding to attend, and then a drinking session with an out-of-town buddy on sunday evening. We wound up going through more than one bottle of scotch, so it was a good thing we had loads of crispy pata, hasa-hasa, manggang hilaw, chips and singkamas to go with it.
After that, I slept like someone'd whacked me over the head with a brick. No hangover when I got up though.

Morning after. Lazily going through the work for the day when I got a text. I'd forgotten about a client demo I had to do at 3pm. Dumped files onto a thumb drive and ran to the client's NOC for the meeting. Was not late, and the demo went very well. No complaints from the client, and development has been go signalled for next week.
The only minor downer was they didn't like the fruit salad colorscheme I picked for one of the interface screens. Color barbarians.

It was frantic for lots of reasons. Played four gigs and four rehearsals in the space of five days. Only one of those was a regular gig; the others were a wedding, a sub for an out-of-town drummer, and an instant on-the-spot session with a group that normally has no rhythm section.
When I get overbooked like that, a lot of memorable moments tend to happen. Doing an extended drum&bass-vs-sax duet with Pikong Guevarra (fucking awesome), with DNB-listening people right in front of the stage. Taping their hastily-written drum chart to the tom where I could keep my eyes fixed on it ... and then realizing that Pikong was rearranging things on the spot during the song itself. Quail Quartet + Alvin Cornista on sax for our first gig in months. Ric Segreto, Basil Valdez and Hall and Oates tunes during Chino and Kare's wedding reception. Our Stand By Me / Every Breath You Take medley getting cheers. Playing the hell out of my favorite Makopa songs for the first (and possibly only time) a couple of hours after getting out of Ric Segreto mode. Appreciative comments from people who recognized me out of nowhere.
Long but restless rest from all the adrenalin afterwards. Good thing it was sunday.
