I took

Legs hurt a little. I had to walk to and from Greenbelt twice yesterday, but that's not why. During one of the trips back to the office, the power cut out just as I was entering, and so I had to run down 15 flights of stairs in the dark. Every time I have to do that (well, not in the dark, but with the buggy elevators in this place, descending 15 or 30 flights does happen once in a while), I always get a little wobbly right after. I tend to take downward stairs at a near-run, so that makes it worse.

Got some gigs coming up, mostly on Katipunan. Quail / Jazz Night on the 3rd at Guijo; I may be subbing for Alay in Makopa on May 5 at Mag:Net Katipunan; then Mag:Net again on May 15 with Anya Santos; then on May 30 and June 13, Helen's playing at the former Inihaw Republic (now Route 196). Lineups and set times TBA. Come by if you can.

According to the memo, the local power company's looking for the floor that's causing harmonics in the power delivery to the building. It's been over a decade since EE 131 (with Chem 17, possibly my most Waterloo-ish subject in college) so I had to look up what it means to have harmonics in your AC power circuit. The information reminded me why I hated EE 131 so much.
It was an irrational hate of course, EE 131 was just another subject with a lot of greek symbols in the textbook, nothing weird to me, and the only reason I didn't like it was because I had to take it thrice when all I wanted to do at the time was play gigs, drink and get laid.
