inventory...it sucks
Well today was my first day off for the week......kinda sorta. I was off all day, except having to go back in around midnight to do inventory. I get there around 11:30, and behold, no boss there yet. So I go to the back, get all the retail items in a spot so I can scan them while making sure I haven't missed anything. I get that done, he's still not there. So I put up the display cases for the new movies that come out, I get that done (by now its midnight) and he's still now there. So I then bring out the cables for the scanners, hook all 3 of them up, get the system ready for inventory and 5 minutes later, he shows up (at this time its now 12:20am). We finally start scanning the retail DVDs and eventually get done. It wasn't as bad as last time, we were only missing 8 items on our new DVD retail inventory. Not bad at all for our store. Tomorrow night is PVD retail and candy/ice cream. Oh joy, I get to count every single fucking thing of candy we have, as well as go in at 5pm.
