1. Last day of fall break. Fall break was good. I spent a lot of time watching sports and visiting my grandma. She broke her hip last week, had surgery, started Hospice yesterday... it's sad but, as I've said again and again, she needs the pain to end.

2. Tigers are in the World Series. I won't say anything more, it's all been said. I do love the bandwagon, as always.

3. I am officially a diehard Michigan Wolverines fan. It's taken me 2 seasons or so... but these dudes are ridiculous.

4. It was nice being home but it made me wish summer was back. Summer was amazing. I miss it a lot. I miss the first 3/4 of this year so much... and I'm hoping that when all is said and done I'll miss the 1/4 of the year as well.

5. So it's October, which means that pretty soon we'll have to discuss our favorite albums. Here's some stuff that I think has been pretty good if you haven't checked them out:

So this is Goodbye - Junior Boys; News and Tributes - Futureheads; Eraser - Thom Yorke; Citrus - Asobi Seksu; FutureSex/LoveSounds - Justin Timberlake; The Life Pursuit - Belle and Sebastian; Mr. Beast - Mogwai; Pet Grief - The Radio Dept; Boys and Girls in America - Hold Steady; Everything all the Time - Band of Horses; Rubies - Destroyer; The Cost - The Frames; Night Ripper - Girl Talk; Post-War - M. Ward; Trompe-L'Oeil - Malajube; Fox Confesser Brings the Flood - Neko Case; It's Never Been Like That - Phoenix.

6. I have to start the job hunt pretty soon (jobs for next summer that is). Hopefully I can hook up something decent. There are plusses and minuses to going out of state, but I think, generally, that I'd like to go elsewhere for a bit next summer, especially since I'm staying close to home for school. Preferrably Chicago since it would be the most convenient with my sister's wedding and all... but something more exotic is enticing as well (say, NYC).

7. School's going well. I outlined Con Law last night. It was great.

8. My fantasy hockey team is off to the worst possible start imaginable. But... I have faith.
