Take the Coltrane.

Back at work on Monday morning. As my office partner Teresa says, "After today, there are only three more Mondays until Friday." I'm pretty exhausted even though I got enough sleep. This was a pretty good weekend.

Thursday: Thursday after work I headed over to Pizza Hut Express, always a good go. I sat in my car eating my pie and listening to Ken Holland being interviews. All these jokers like Art Regner got my hopes up that the Red Wings would deal for Roberto Luongo. I almost started crying Friday when I found out Vancouver got him. Then I almost started screaming yesterday when I read in the News that Holland never even made an offer. Thursday night I watched Arrested Development with Ash, good time.

Friday: Woke up, read a little bit of King Leopold's Ghost (about the Belgian colonialization of the Congo) and took Mr. Jack to get all his fur shaved off. Then I took a two hour nap. Ashley and I went to Chili's and a movie; we saw "A Prarie Home Companion" and it was quite good although we didn't quite get the ending and were the only people under 50 in the theater (on a positive note, it appears Star/AMC Gratiot is getting its act together). We went to Andy's and watched the greatest episode of GUTS ever, played Scrabble. Woo, superman.

Saturday: Saturday was Johnny Burket's grad party (saw some cool dudes like Dave C) and Tigers v. Cards. Tigers came from behind to tie it in the 9th, then win it in the 10th, 7-6. It was an awesome game; my brother and I took my dad for father's day. My mild-mannered father almost lost his voice screaming. It was probably my first legitimate baseball game ever.

Sunday: I went to church (which was great) then Andy's where we channeled Krautrock and Ed O'Brien arpeggios into some hot pop tracks. Uh-oh arpeggio. Rob's party was a pretty great time as well, and a nice closer to the jampacked weekend. I offended people by talking about women's roles, Hurricane Katrina. We talked about rap songs.

So yeah I'm at work now. Full week this week, in my estimation perhaps one of the last ones of the summer (yeah, seriously).

I've decided to go to Greece for spring break. It'll be a working vacation. Sit on the Mediterranean, see Santorini, do some reading/studying during the days. That'll be my Christmas.

I know I'm the only dude who still cares about hockey, but I'm going to be really upset if the Red Wings don't make a drastic change to their roster this summer. Really, really upset.
