As always we get excited for new years of music. We're always like, 'Oh, yes, this will be a good year.' Usually our expectations are smashed. Years tend to not go as well we'd hoped they would. And alas, when the year ends, we find ourselves saying 'Well... next year.' Chances are, 2006 will be no different, but my brothers, look at what we have on the docket!

Built to Spill - You in Reverse (Sometime in March)
I've got a low quality rip of this right now, and it's pretty awesome.

Mogwai - Mr. Beast (March 7)
I've got this on the computator, haven't given it a good enough listen.

The Strokes - First Impressions of Earth (January 3)
Meh.

Belle & Sebastian - The Life Pursuit (February 7)
Also meh, but I like some of the tracks.

Loose Fur - Born Again in the USA
Jeff Tweedy side project, definetly worth a listen.

The Streets - The Hardest Way to Make an Easy Living (April 11)
Hooray! Another autobiographical release from Mike Skinner!

The Flaming Lips - At War With the Mystics (April 4)
Will it suck? I mean, it better not; they've had four years to work on it.

Ted Leo & the Pharmacists - TBA (TBA)
I'm interested.

Prefuse 73 - Security Screenings (TBA)
Supposedly just below being on par with One Word Extinguisher, which makes it a whole heck of a lot better than last year's shlockfest.

Junior Boys - TBA (TBA)
One I'm more curious and nervous about than anything.

Sonic Youth - Sonic Life (TBA)
Probably will suck.

The Walkmen - TBA (Probably April-ish)
Another one I'm predicting will suck.

The Shins - Sleeping Lessons (Summer)
I'm predicting this to be great; James Mercer can write a mad tune and these guys have had 3 yrs to work.

Wilco - TBA (TBA)
Oh my goodness.

Oh, and a little British band is putting out another album this summer.... Hmmm.... Who could it be?
