Teen Blogger Suspected Of Killing Mom Draws Thousands To Her Blog
16-yr old Rachelle Waterman from Craig, Alaska is charged by police with killing her mom, Lauri Waterman. Police say she plotted with two men for several months to kill the 48-yr old woman.
The shocking point of this story is not the murder, really. Waterman is also a blogger. And the high school honor student's LiveJournal entries allude to the plotting and eventual murder of her mom.
The last entry of her blog, where she explains that police have seized her computer, has become an Internet moment. In only 24 hours after she was arraigned, over 1600 comments were made in the thread Waterman's last entry.
