Dying, diet, and exercise

Yesterday, my friend Margit and I dyed a bunch of wool yarn with Kool Aid - it was so awesome! I can't wait to see what it looks like after the dye is set. Then we have to wash it and dry it. We each dyed enough for a pair of socks and a felted bag. I did the sock yarn in blue/green/purple and the other yarn in red/orange/yellow. We have more yarn and wool to dye, so I'm looking forward to more experimentation.

I've decided to start counting my caloric intake for a while. I think of myself as a "healthy eater" but I'm really not exactly sure how many calories I'm eating, or what percentage of my diet is composed of carbs, fat, protein, etc. I'm also not sure that I'm getting all my vitamins. We'll see what happens.

I've been working out at least 3 times a week and I'm starting to notice a difference in my body - yeah! I've been cycling, dancing, and doing some yoga/pilates classes. I love doing classes at the gym since the teachers really challenge me. It's hard to push myself otherwise. Plus, Comcast's On Demand has all these workouts available that are 10-30 minutes long. I think I'm going to try to do more of those on the weekends because other than that, I don't do much physical exercise on the weekend.
